1099 Form

A tax statement mailed out to the Internal Revenue Service and the taxpayer by a financial institution that shows how much the taxpayer received in interest, capital gains, and dividends, along with other financial information. The taxpayer uses the form to file income tax returns with the Internal Revenue Service.
